Your Purpose
The Administrative Support Volunteer plays an invaluable role in supporting the Foundation's fundraising and donor services activities through a variety of administrative and mail processing tasks. This role helps ensure donor communications and records are maintained accurately and efficiently.
As this position is heavily focused on mail processing and donor correspondence, it is a fully in-office volunteer opportunity.
Specific Accountabilities
- Mail preparation
- Returned mail record updates
- Opening mail and donations
- Organizing and filing administrative documents
- Supporting donor services and administrative projects as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
We are looking for volunteers with good attention to detail interested in making a difference who enjoy quiet administrative work.
- Previous experience with administrative duties and mail sorting an asset
- Previous volunteer experience is considered an asset
- Detail oriented
- Able to perform repetitive tasks
Commitment
This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity. We are looking for volunteers who can make a weekly commitment and have availability during regular business hours.
Schedule is flexible, and the nature of the work might change the length of time needed may shift depending on the amount of work available. We can work with you to support your availability.
Current Volunteer Needs
Our busiest period typically runs from mid-October through mid-January. During this time, we are looking for volunteer support up to three days per week.
We will work with successful applicants to accommodate availability and create a schedule that aligns with operational needs. To ensure volunteers have meaningful work assignments and receive appropriate support, only one volunteer is scheduled per day.
