At the University Hospital Foundation (UHF or Foundation), we want to help people live longer, and better – especially those who would benefit from a new form of treatment, or life-saving surgery. 

As agents of hope, we boldly seek solutions to seemingly insurmountable challenges, matching the determination and purpose-driven intensity of the healthcare teams we support. 

In the past ten years, generous donations from individuals and our corporate and strategic partners have contributed nearly $220 million dollars to advance world-leading patient care at the University of Alberta Hospital, Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute and Kaye Edmonton Clinic, as well as ground-breaking research at the University of Alberta. 

Warehouse support volunteer is an important part of the Festival of Trees. Volunteers provide structure and enable important design work through the maintenance of the warehouse work space.

·       Assist at the Festival of Trees Warehouse helping organize and maintain the space, materials and supplies.

·       Support the design team

·       Work on site for tree/décor display set up and tear down during the event

 

We are looking for volunteers who are extremely organized and capable of maintaining conducive working spaces. Volunteers who enjoy supporting from behind the scenes.

-       Organized

-       Proactive, and self motivated. Can see tasks and projects and take them on.

-       Willingness to take on a variety of tasks and roles.

This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity with no set end date.

A weekly commitment typically Wednesdays and or Thursdays is preferred.

During the Months of September, October and November more time is often required to prepare for the Festival of Trees.  

We absolutely could not do this event without our dedicated volunteers, whose contributions help us bring monumental change to health and healthcare in Alberta.

You will have the chance to contribute to the University Hospital Foundation while developing a unique and varied skillset.

You would also be able to participate in our annual Volunteer Appreciation events and be eligible forward nominations.

We are also happy to provide letter of reference of your participation upon request.
